Anyone hear from Torres/Lisi/Smith yet?
I believe Torres is retiring and not taking any clerks this year.
Torres is in the middle of a five week trial, and is not planning on looking at applications until that is over.
Any one hear from Lagueux or Lisi?

Torres is definitely done - he sent out a letter indicating he had already hired his clerk.

Anyone know anything about the bankruptcy Judge's hiring process, if he does hire.
Smith is not done.
Heard that Smith's in the middle of a trial right now so he's not done. But also heard that he's not looking at any folks straight out of school.

any further word on Judge Smith? Is it safe to say that all the judges have completed their hiring?
Probably not safe to say that. My understanding on smith is he is deciding next week at the earliest.
Do you know if Smith has scheduled all of his interviews?
I'm a third-year law student. I applied for a clerkship with Judge Smith, and just this morning I received a letter informing me that Judge Smith will be selecting clerks with some experience (i.e. one or two years in practice, or as clerks; not law students), but inviting me to apply again in the future. Hope that helps!
