That is not the information I've received. I know people in Foley and Holmes' chambers with only a JD and my impression was that that was not unusual. I think if you attend a less prestigous law school or have not taken many tax classes then that is more harmful than not having an LLM.

Are any of the tax court judges still hiring? Have they set up interviews already? What is their time frame?
