Pisano is finished for 2007-2008. I don't know if he's still looking for 08-09.

Rumor has it Cavanaugh has picked his clerks.
As of last Friday (9/15), Chief Judge Brown was about to begin looking at applications for two clerkships beginning in the fall of 2007 (a 1-year position and a 2-year position, though that might be up for discussion). Anyone* who's interested but hasn't previously submitted materials should send stuff in this week. The Judge may or may not still consider applications that arrive after this week. *He's considering only applicants who have practiced or will have practiced by the fall of 2007.
Mag. Shwartz called today. She's only looking for 2 year clerks.

Call to chambers revealed Debevoise doesn't start the hiring process until January.
I also heard from Greenaway before the official call date... but I am a recent grad, so I'm not sure if these guys hire people straight out or not...

Lifland emailed and is starting to review applications - - does a State Supreme Court clerkship increase odds of getting a district clerkship down the line??
Is Thompson done?
a state supreme court clerkship is generally considered only ever so very slightly lower to a district court, if at all, so I would think so, and if the end goal is big law in the same state probably equal to a DC clerkship....
I had interviews with a DC judge and a state SC judge - I'd take either if offered, but given my personality, I'd perfer federal trial, but that is not because of any measureable difference in prestigue

He does not review applications until April EVEN if you are applying for a September 2007 position.
Judge Wolfson has not made any final decisions yet. This could mean more calls, or it could not...
