re: calling chambers: a clerk told me that if this is just a "did you get my app" call, don't do it. but if there is a purpose--e.g., "i will be in town on such and such date," then it is ok.
Re Parker: Any idea how many spots and his schedule?

Have Brack and Black not started interviewing yet?
Brack sending email saying that he's done.
Black is still interviewing.
Parker is apparently not done, as he is still making screening calls (asking about connections to New Mexico).
So there is still hope, when did Parker call?
