Judge Lasnik - Western District of Washington.

Only takes clerks with at least one year experience after graduating law school. 3L's, don't bother applying until next year!

Pechman is not hiring this year. Wait 'til next year.

Anyone know about Martinez, Zilly, or Robart?

Roommate received card from Lasnik...not making decisions on law clerks until mid-April 2007.

Martinez (Seattle) doesn't have openings. FYI - check the court-specific site for openings.

ok...any idea what the address is for the Western District website? I found the general one, but can't find one with listings specific to clerkships.

Does Martinez EVER have openings? What is his clerk situation? A full slate of permanent clerks?

Re Martinez - that's the impression I got. Any idea on the website address? Seems that would be super helpful.

Any idea how many interviews/ spots Coughenor has?

Anonymous said...

I believe Coughenour has 2 spots

A former Martinez clerk told me he has a two-year clerk, so no openings this year.

Zilly has no openings this year.

Has anyone heard from Quackenbush, Robart, or Shea?

Anonymous said...

Robart has started interviewing for one two-year spot. (The other is a term clerk spot for a minimum of four years).

Anonymous said...

has anyone who interviewed with Coughenour heard?

Anonymous said...

Coughenour--don't believe he's found his clerks, but he's certain it's not me (Just received my rejection letter).

Quackenbush anyone?

Anonymous said...

Shea?

Coughenour has hired at least one of his clerks. Martinez has a career clerk, and his other position--a term clerk spot--has been filled. Judge McGovern is seriously senior, is hardly ever in chambers, and doesn't need clerks.
