I worked for Adelman as an intern yet have no clue as to how he makes offers - I would guess he'd interview everyone first but that is just an educated guess.
Given Shapiro is actively still soliciting resumes as of yesterday and won't make a decision until December per an email from our career services director, the Shapiro post above seems a bit misleading
Why would you guess Notre Dame for Adelman? He's had one clerk and one intern from there. His current clerks are from Michigan State and Madison. He's pretty liberal and likes his clerks to be, too. Notre Dame is definitely one of the more conservative law schools in the country, so I would be surprised to see him repeatedly hire from ND.
well, i wouldn't be too quick to judge. i go to school on the west coast and i bet if a judge out here hired someone from wisconsin people would say, "wisconsin??!!" even though it's a darn good school...
So there is no news of calls from any judges other than Adelman, Crabb, Callahan, Griesbach, and Martin? This seems like a low percentage that have even started....

Adelman has made some calls.
Griesbach has made calls
Crabb is calling.
Martin called
who is Martin? I am an instate 3L and have never heard of a Martin in Wisconsin??
to the person who posted on Adelman - is he done calling of still calling. I know Griesbach is done.
i have the sense that Adelman is done calling, but i'm not positive. does anyone know if he makes exploding offers?
Martin is bankruptcy in Madison - if you are from MU and not into bankruptcy, that would explain that!
martin is bankruptcy, i believe...
Nothing on any of the other MKE or Madison judges???
So nobody knows how Adelman makes offers?

Callahan (E.D. Wis Magistrate) made at least some calls this afternoon - not sure if he is done or not.
Shapiro (Bankr., Milwaukee) is emailing
Anyone hear from Clevert, Randa or Shabaz?

re: clervert, randa, shabaz: nope, didn't apply, nope.
helpful, thanks
any news if Adelman hired anyone out of his interviews for his opening?
would he not call those people he rejected?
probably would eventually send a letter.
Adelman is done.
Where did Adelman hire from? Notre Dame would be my guess.
nice ding from Crabb stating "the Court will miss my companionship" - that was a first.
did you interview w/ crabb?
that was the generic ding - but very unique - can't imagine how unique the interview dings are

well, i'll let you know about the interview ding when i get it...
Griesbach is done
Has anyone heard from Staudtmueller?
where did crabb hire from? (she's going to miss my companionship, too, apparently...)
Adelman hired from the University of Oklahoma
that is a shock - Oklahoma?!?
well, i wouldn't be too quick to judge. i go to school on the west coast and i bet if a judge out here hired someone from wisconsin people would say, "wisconsin??!!" even though it's a darn good school...
Crabb hired from Wisconsin.
Griesbach hired from Marquette.
Crabb usually hires from WI right?

This year Crabb's clerks are from Wisconsin. Not so in past years.
does Shabaz have an opening? The letter I got from him was that he'd keep my app on file in case an opening did occur as he expected?
Callahan is done hiring.
Called Shabaz today because I got offered another federal interview, and I got the message they are not yet sure if there is an opening or not.
Does anybody know where Callahan hired from? (Just curious.)
Marquette
Clevert has not even started reviewing apps yet.
Kelley emailed to set up interviews.
Heard Clevert may not hire until spring.
how did you hear that?
from a friend in the chambers
Does anyone have any info on Staudtmueller or Randa in the ED?
I have an interview with Shabaz on Friday
congrats
Crabb craw?
Has anyone who interviewed with Shabaz heard from him?
I don't think Shabaz is going to decide until at least 11/1
why do you think that?
I am curious as well on the above statement given comments made in the interview, can you elaborate?
any news from the Western (District) front (e.g., Shabaz)?
any idea how many people shabaz interviewed?
any idea how many people shabaz interviewed?
I got the impression it was between 6-8.
Shabaz is done, hired from Marquette.
Anyone hear any updates about Stadtmueller?
has he even started???
any updates from the great state of Wisconsin (e.g., Randa, Staudtmueller, Clevert)
is anyone still out there reading this blog anymore??
is anyone still out there reading this blog anymore??
Yes. But obviously the signal to noise ratio is incredibly low!
??
FWIW, I would assume that Kelley has concluded her hiring process - she was interviewing the second week of November.
Has Clevert even started yet?
Also, heard rumors Randa was done - can anyone confirm?
Have not heard anything about Staudtmueller? Anyone have any updates on him?
any updates from the land of cheese and Brett Farve?
Re Clevert, he typically waits until spring.

Clevert finds almost everything more important and enjoyable than hiring per someone who knows him well - he'll be one of the last to hire.
FWIW, Clevert is now listed as no longer accepting apps in OSCAR, which probably means he is done.
Does anyone know if he is indeed done? If so, where did he hire from?
Clevert hired from Marquette
Any word on Randa?
heard rumors Randa is done, but they are just rumors
anyone heard anything after the phone interviews for the LaFollette fellowship with Senator Kohl?
