Gregory is scheduling interviews.

Anonymous said...

Niemeyer is making calls. He is scheduling interviews for the week of September 11-15, and he expects to be done hiring by the 15th.

Anonymous said...

Wilkinson is interviewing (both grads and non-grads).

Anonymous said...

Wilkinson is done.

Anonymous said...

Gregory is only scheduling interviews w/ grads. He follows the hiring plan.

Anonymous said...

Who did Wilkinson take (what schools?)?

Anonymous said...

Wilkinson hired from Harvard, Vanderbilt, and UVA.

Anonymous said...

Widener is done.

Anonymous said...

Who did Widener take (what schools)?

Anonymous said...

Gregory has hired at least one.

Anonymous said...

From what school did Gregory hire? Also, has anyone received a rejection letter from Gregory?

Anonymous said...

King is done.

Anonymous said...

Blane Michael is done.

Anonymous said...

Widener has been done for months. He finishes hiring by May.

Williams is done as well. She finished hiring in July.

Anonymous said...

King is finished hiring

Anonymous said...

Blane is not done. Where did you hear that? He's been calling professors all week to see who is really interested, but he's not done.

Anonymous said...

Who did Williams take?

Anonymous said...

Blane Michael is in fact done. As you'll see on OSCAR, he's not longer accepting applications

Anonymous said...

Niemeyer's been hiring. He should be done soon if he's not yet.

Anonymous said...

Any idea how many Niemeyer's hired so far?

Anonymous said...

Niemeyer has hired at least two, and he may have hired one today.

Anonymous said...

How many spots were available total? Three (so he's done) or four? Thanks.

Anonymous said...

Three

Anonymous said...

My understanding is that Niemeyer is not done yet.

Anonymous said...

Niemeyer was still calling to schedule new interviews as of Wednesday afternoon.

Anonymous said...

Anyone else know whether the comment about Niemeyer's hiring 2 clerks is true?

Anonymous said...

I also heard that Niemeyer had already hired 2.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone on this court actually follow the plan?

Anonymous said...

Gregory hired from Yale.

Anonymous said...

Judge Motz might follow the plan.

Anonymous said...

The Fourth Circuit is sitting the week interviews are supposed to start, so that might explain some of the jumping of the gun. Niemeyer, Wilkinson, and Widener are notorious for hiring early, so their colleagues might just be playing catch-up.

Anonymous said...

Motz won't be hearing cases next Thursday so she can interview.

Anonymous said...

Gregory has called 3Ls.

Anonymous said...

Motz has called.

Anonymous said...

Most judges on this court DO NOT follow the plan. Some hire really early. Some closer to the date.

Anonymous said...

Is Niemeyer still interviewing today? Has he hired his third?

Anonymous said...

Anything on Shedd?

Anonymous said...

Has Duncan made calls?

Anonymous said...

Niemeyer got his third and presumably is done.

Anonymous said...

Have it on good authority that Niemeyer is done.

Anonymous said...

Anyone hear from Wilkins?

Anonymous said...

Wilkins has career clerks and does not hire.

Anonymous said...

Does anybody know where Niemeyer hired from?

Anonymous said...

Niemeyer: Notre Dame, UVA, Yale.

Anonymous said...

does anyone know whether Motz is still interviewing?

Anonymous said...

Is Gregory done?

Anonymous said...

Motz is done

Anonymous said...

Anyone happen to know where Motz hired from?

Anonymous said...

Is it safe to assume Gregory is finished?

Anonymous said...

motz hired one from university of michigan

Anonymous said...

any news on duncan?

Anonymous said...

Duncan is done. She had one spot and hired last Thursday.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone out there have information on Gregory?

Anonymous said...

Motz hired from NYU as well.

Anonymous said...

I was told that Gregory did not intend to interview this week, but he may have changed his mind if he wasn't satisfied with the candidates he saw last week.

Anonymous said...

Motz also hired from Virginia

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know how many vacancies Gregory has left. It looks like from previous posts he has hired one?

Anonymous said...

Is Gregory still calling for interviews?

Anonymous said...

not sure how many vacancies Gregory has left, but he has been known to wait until the Spring to hire if he doesn't like who he saw in the Fall

Anonymous said...

Is Gregory still calling candidates for interviews?

Anonymous said...

I'm one of Gregory's hires and I believe he has more or less filled the spots for next year, but I don't know if all of the offers have been made or accepted.

Anonymous said...

another Gregory hire here...not sure if he has filled other spots.

Anonymous said...

congrats to the Gregory hires, would you mind advising whether you were hired on the spot, shortly thereafter, or later? I have heard he has 2 slots left to fill.

Anonymous said...

i am the second poster...i would rather not answer.

Anonymous said...

second poster here again...i thought i should clarify. my personal view is that what happens between judges and their clerks should stay between them. how a judge decides to give an offer is the beginning of that very personal relationship and shouldn't be broadcasted to others. best of luck to those who may have interviews with him...

Anonymous said...

Second poster: you are, of course, entitled to your beliefs. However, I find it interesting that you seemingly frequent this site, benefiting from the information others post. Then when it happens that you have information that may help others (and may help your future judge's chambers by not getting anymore pestering inquiries), you clam up and assert your beliefs.

Anonymous said...

According to chambers, Gregory is full

Anonymous said...

Any clue as to which schools Gregory hired from?

Law Clerk Addict said...

Gregory has hired at least one, from Yale.
