Clement, Smith, Wiener, and Davis (and possibly others) have been interviewing during the month of August.

Anonymous said...

Benavides is interviewing

Anonymous said...

Smith has hired a Texas clerk.

Anonymous said...

Smith has hired 3 out of 4 already.

Anonymous said...

Dennis has hired one but still has three more spots (1 one-year and 2 two-year clerks).

Anonymous said...

smith has one offer outstanding (i.e., the applicant has not accepted)

Any news on Higginbtham?

Anonymous said...

He is now senior. He is also following the plan, so I assume people should hear on Thursday.

Anonymous said...

has owen or jones started?

Anonymous said...

Higginbotham is making calls

Anonymous said...

Barksdale is calling

Anonymous said...

Jones is calling offering phone interviews. What does that mean for offers? I wonder if she schedules them before next week?

Anonymous said...

I wonder if that means she's interviewing more people than normal if she's using phone?

Anonymous said...

Garza has started making calls

Anonymous said...

I heard all the judges have already hired.

Anonymous said...

Jolly is contacting via email.

Anonymous said...

Prado has made calls.

Anonymous said...

Clement has made calls

Anonymous said...

Has Clement hired any law grads?

Anonymous said...

Most 5th circuit judges only hire from Princeton.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone have information abourt Stewart?

Anonymous said...

??? Princeton doesn't have a law school.

Anonymous said...

Princeton law only reveals itself to the truly elite. No wonder you have never heard of it.

Anonymous said...

I hear that Owen made calls yesterday.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone heard anything about whether Reavley, King or Dennis is interviewing before next Thursday?

Anonymous said...

King was interviewing as of late last week and Monday and Tuesday of this week.

Anonymous said...

Jones status? Is she done?

Anonymous said...

King isn't interviewing current law students until Thursday

Anonymous said...

Stewart is interviewing, got an email today asking me to schedule an appointment

Anonymous said...

Jones follows the timeline. She's called everyone she wants, but she's not done hiring.

Anonymous said...

Do you know anything about Jones's interviews? Quiz or get-to-know you? Does give interviews on the spot, day of? When does she make decisions?

Anonymous said...

Does she give offers that is....

Anonymous said...

Jolly and Barksdale are interviewing

Anonymous said...

Reavley has hired 1.

Anonymous said...

Benavides is done hiring

Anonymous said...

King is done too.

Anonymous said...

any word on Jones?

Anonymous said...

anybody heard from DeMoss?

Anonymous said...

i'd like to rant about some judges' practice of inviting people to travel--at their own expense--only to cancel last minute. i had an interview with a judge scheduled for later in the day, and at 12:45 the chambers called to tell me all spots were taken. personally, i think that's a little disrespectful. the judge should visit with all candidates he/she invited before making decisions. that's all.

Anonymous said...

owen hired one today

Anonymous said...

Garza is done

Anonymous said...

Any word on Garwood or Reavley?

Anonymous said...

Garwood is done, he hired two UT clerks.

Anonymous said...

Jones and DeMoss are done.

Anonymous said...

Clement is finished.

Anonymous said...

Re: Judges making you travel at your own expense, only to cancel at the last minute: Fifth Circuit judges seem particularly prone to do this. Don't know why, but I agree it's in bad taste.

Anonymous said...

Any more word on Dennis? Did he still just hire one?

Anonymous said...

Is Barksdale done and if so, who did she hire?

Anonymous said...

Is Higginbotham done?

Anonymous said...

Contrary to the "she" referred to in the September 24 post, Barksdale is a male.

Anonymous said...

Smith is finished. He did his interviews in August, because he does not follow the voluntary hiring plan.

Anonymous said...

Anyone know if Weiner is done?

Anonymous said...

Higginbotham is done.

Anonymous said...

Where did Higginbotham hire from?

Anonymous said...

any news on carl stewart?

Anonymous said...

Where did Clement, Jones, and Garza hire from?

Anonymous said...

I know that Clement and Jones each hired at least one from Notre Dame.

Anonymous said...

Was the Jones hire from ND a 3L or a grad?

Anonymous said...

Higginbotham hired one from Yale.

Anonymous said...

Just called chambers. Wiener is done.

Anonymous said...

Has Stewart hired anyone yet?

Anonymous said...

Both Jones and Clement hired ND 3Ls.

Anonymous said...

Wiener has finished hiring. Stewart has hired at least one clerk.

Anonymous said...

What about Dennis?

Anonymous said...

Who did Stewart hire?

Anonymous said...

Stewart hired 2 of his 3, one former district clerk and one Tulane grad

Anonymous said...

Has Reavley finished hiring? If so, who did he hire?

Law Clerk Addict said...

Reavley has hired at least two from Texas

Anonymous said...

anyone know if stewart still has an open spot (or two) left to fill?

Anonymous said...

Stewart is done, for sure

Anonymous said...

Judge Dennis is done.

Anonymous said...

Just to clarify, Stewart is not done!! He is not considering you if you have not already heard from him though. He has extended two offers and has not yet decided which of his interviewees will get the third spot.

Anonymous said...

What about Judge Davis?

Anonymous said...

Stewart is finished!
